AmeriPath to Present at Banc of America Healthcare Conference

Riviera Beach, FL, April 3, 2002 – AmeriPath, Inc. (Nasdaq:PATH), one of the nation’s leading providers of anatomic pathology services, today announced it will participate in the Banc of America Securities Healthcare Conference 2002 to be held at the The Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The AmeriPath presentation will be made by the Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, James C. New, and he’ll be accompanied by Executive Vice President of Genomic Strategies and Chief Medical Officer, Dennis M. Smith, Jr., M.D., on Thursday, April 4, 2002, at 11:35 a.m. PT.
