PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA, April 19, 2006 — AmeriPath,
Inc. (“AmeriPath”), a leading national provider
of anatomic pathology, dermatopathology and molecular diagnostics
services, today announced the acquisition of Rose Pathology
Associates, P.C. The acquisition represents AmeriPath’s
latest effort to expand its Colorado-based services.
Stephen W. Aldred, M.D., AmeriPath’s West Regional
President commented, “We are excited that Rose Pathology
Associates is joining our group in the Denver market. We
will be able to expand our geographic coverage as well
as continue our strategy of providing localized, specialized,
and integrated pathology services. With our esoteric testing

able to better support community-based medicine for enhanced
patient care.”
The AmeriPath-Rose Pathology Associates partnership will
enhance pathology services to both hospital and outpatient
practices in the region. Rose Pathology Associates is well-established
at two progressive medical complexes in the Denver area,
which provide for certain opportunities for rapid market
growth. Rose Pathology Associates’ team of pathology
specialists complements and reinforces the expertise of
the current AmeriPath Denver team. Rose Pathology Associates’ specialists,
qualified in pulmonary pathology, cytopathology, and hematopathology,
also include a fellowship-trained breast pathologist.
