David L. Redmond, President
David L. Redmond joined AmeriPath on June 1, 2003, as Executive
Vice President and CFO, bringing with him a wealth of experience
in public accounting and financial leadership in both the public
and private sectors. Mr. Redmond, a CPA, spent approximately
16 years with KPMG Peat Marwick, six of which as a partner,
and was a key participant in the firm’s technology and
acquisition advisory practices. Prior to joining AmeriPath,
Mr. Redmond was the CFO for Accentia, a privately held specialty
pharmacy and pharmacoeconomics company, and the CFO for MedHost,
a privately held management information software and services
company for hospital emergency departments. In his latter capacity,
he was instrumental in raising capital to fund the company’s
growth and emergence into the marketplace. Mr. Redmond was
selected as the CFO of PharMerica, Inc. in 1998 and directed
the corporate restructuring and eventual sale of the company
to Bergen Brunswig Corporation. During the period 1995 through
1997, Mr. Redmond served as Executive Vice President and CFO
for Pharmacy Corporation of America, a wholly owned subsidiary
of Beverly Enterprises, Inc. From 1991 to 1995, he was Senior
Vice President and CFO of Pharmacy Management Services, Inc.,
a mail order pharmacy services business acquired by Beverly
Enterprises in 1995. Mr. Redmond is active within the health
care marketplace and has achieved a reputation of excellence
that is widely recognized by analysts and members of the banking
and investment communities. Mr. Redmond graduated with honors
from the University of North Dakota with a degree in accounting.
Jeffrey A. Mossler, M.D.,
Vice President and Chief Anatomic Pathology Officer
Jeffrey A. Mossler, M.D. has previously served on the AmeriPath Board of Directors was our Chief Medical Officer since May 2003. Dr. Mossler joined
AmeriPath
in September 1997 when AmeriPath acquired CoLab, Inc.,
of Indianapolis, Indiana. Since then, Dr. Mossler has
served
our firm in several capacities, including Managing
Director of CoLab, Managing Director of AmeriPath Indiana
and Regional
Managing Director of the Midwest Region. Dr. Mossler,
who has practiced medicine for 22 years, attained board
certification
in anatomic and clinical pathology in 1981. He graduated
from the Indiana University of Medicine in 1977 and
completed his residency at Duke University Medical
Center and Durham
Veteran's Administration Medical Center.
Steven E. Casper, President of Dermatopathology
Services
Mr. Casper had previously served as the
Regional President of the Southeast. Mr. Casper joined
AmeriPath in February of 2002 as Vice President of Business
Development
where he was responsible for executing opportunities
related to the rapid expansion of AmeriPath. Mr. Casper was
instrumental
in sourcing and closing on the successful acquisition of
numerous physician practices on behalf of the Company. Prior
to joining
AmeriPath, Mr. Casper was an investment professional within
the firm of Summit Partners, a $6 billion private equity
group investing
in privately held health care and technology companies. 
Philip A. Spencer, President of Anatomic Pathology Services
Philip A. Spencer has been our President, Anatomic Pathology Services since November 13, 2006. Prior to joining us, Mr. Spencer served as Executive Vice President of Healthcare Sales and Marketing for LabOne, Inc. since November, 2003. From December 2000 to November 2003, Mr. Spencer served as VP, Business Development Midwest Division for Laboratory Corporation of America. >From February 1996 to December 2000, Mr. Spencer held various sales and managed care positions for DIANON Systems. Mr. Spencer graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Arizona in 1991 and earned his MBA from The University of Dallas in 1998.
