Dr. Michael w. Robles joined AmeriPath in July 2006 as the Director of Gastrointestinal Pathology, AmeriPath North Texas. In this leadership role, Dr. Robles is responsible for the development of the AmeriPath North Texas team of GI-specialized pathologists, focusing primarily on GI histological services, consultations on difficult cases, and esoteric testing to assist referring physicians in the diagnosis and management of GI and digestive disease. Prior to his appointment, Dr. Robles was privileged to serve as a Robert E. Petras fellow at the AmeriPath Institute of Gastrointestinal Pathology and Digestive Disease, Oakwood Village, Ohio. Dr. Robles graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine and entered residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of California, Irvine; and the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. Upon completing his residencies, Dr. Robles accepted the position of surgical pathology fellow, The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, after which he completed his GI fellowship training in Ohio. Dr. Robles is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology (anatomic pathology) and an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the Rodger C. Haggitt Gastrointestinal Pathology Society.
