Description:

The GI Histology biopsy kit contains a total of six (6) specimen collection vials pre-filled with 10% neutral buffered formalin or zinc formalin. Each kit contains pre-printed labels to aid in identifying each specific sample and a biohazard bag for securing the tray and vials after specimen collection for shipping.

This kit is self-contained and can be delivered to the local lab via courier with no additional packaging. Shipment of this kit via commercial shipper such as FedEx requires that the kit be placed in Specialty Shipper Order ASKS. A total of two (2) kits fit into one specialty shipper.

Applications:

The GI histology kit is designed to provide clinicians with a self-contained system for the collection of specimens. This kit can be utilized for the collection of Upper GI or Lower GI samples.

Directions for Use:

1. Complete requisition.
2. Collect biopsy sample and place in appropriate pre-labeled vial.
3. Place vials back into tray.
4. Place entire tray inside zip-lock biohazard bag.
5. Place tray and bag back into the kit box.
6. No additional packing is required for local courier service; kit is ready to transport.
7. For air shipments or shipments other than AmeriPath couriers, additional outer packaging is required. Please order Specialty Shipper ASKS (maximum of two (2) GI Histology collection kits fit in each Specialty Shipper).
